The Last Slender-billed Curlew is a narrative design project exploring biodiversity loss and migratory birds along the Andalusian Atlantic coast through eco-design and visual storytelling.
Each plushie begins with a hand-drawn sketch, where I develop the character’s shape and personality. I then turn the design into sewing patterns and sew each piece by hand, carefully building its form. The final details are added through needle felting, helping bring texture, expression and individuality to each character.
