The Last Slender-billed Curlew
The last Slender-biller Curlew is a narrative project exploring biodiversity loss, ecological interconnection, and the preservation of migratory birds within the Andalusian Atlantic coast. Triggered by the recent declaration of the extinction of the Slender-billed Curlew , the project follows its close relative, the Eurasian Curlew, as a narrative thread to build an emotional and data-informed journey across European migration routes. Rooted in eco-design principles, the work uses circular production methods, including upcycled studio materials, handmade paper, and natural plant-based pigments, turning the making process itself into an extension of the ecological message.
